Organs

The Ministries of UCPM are carried out through the following major organs.

Shalom Cathedral: Built in 1998 to seat over 300 persons, Shalom Cathedral stands as a landmark in Kapra Municipality, a suburb of Hyderabad city. Shalom Cathedral is non-denominational, Bible-centered, God-ordained and Christ-Governed church, which lays emphasis on the spiritual unity of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:11, 21 & 22) who form the Body of Christ (also known as the Universal Church).  The Word of God is handled accurately and preached unashamedly. (II Timothy 2:15). Shalom Cathedral is kept open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day for prayers.

Pastor Branham lives on the Cathedral Compound and is available for regular and special prayers, pastoral-counselling and to offer any spiritual help. Cathedral’s weekly programme includes-Sunday Worship with Holy Communion (The Lord’s table), Sunday School for Children, House-Visits, Mid-week cottage prayer meeting, Women’s fellowship, Youth meeting and Intercessory prayers.

Eagle Spiritual Training Centre (ESTC): ESTC’s motto is –“Equip the believers/saints to multiply their kind”.
ESTC endeavours to organise short duration training programmes, seminars, topical studies to transfer the knowledge of Bible-truths with a focus on building and strengthening Christian character and commitment.

The Bible has warned that, in the end-times, many false prophets would appear to deceive even the elect (Matthew 24:24), in the guise of denomination, doctrine, charisma and the like. It is very important for believers to be deeply rooted in the Bible-truths, lest they can easily be deceived by various kinds of imitations/counterfeits.

Religious language, objects and services can fool them into imagining that they are experiencing a first-hand relationship with God, when in reality they are simply going through empty routines.

Graduates of ESTC are encouraged to do outreach work for soul winning and church-planting.

Pastors’ Training: We have a burden to train young people for full-time Pastoral Ministry. A small number of young people interested in Pastoral Ministry (about six per batch) will be selected to stay with Dr. Branham in the Shalom Cathedral Compound for one year. They learn by observation, informal teaching, topical studies, participating in Shalom Cathedral activities and by apprenticeship. Brother Branham will deal with their strengths and weaknesses to equip them for a committed Pastoral Ministry.

After this one-year’s training on the lines of “Gurukul” (Teacher-Disciple Method), they will be sent to needy villages to plant a church and minister in a few villages. It is our desire to support such workers so that they can serve the Lord faithfully. We need support for six such trainees @ US$30 per month per trainee.

Shalom Centre for Social Development (SCSD): Jesus Christ has taught us that - Life is more than food and the body more than clothing. We firmly believe that “Fullness of Life” and “Fulfillment in Life” can be found only through a personal faith in Jesus Christ. But we also believe that-if we are to follow the teaching and example of the Lord Jesus Christ, we must share His love and concern to “feed the hungry, clothe the nake, house the homeless and heal the sick”. Poverty, ignorance and sickness forge some of the shackles to the spirit of man. We believe that-people are neither soul-less stomachs nor stomach-less souls.

SCSD is, therefore, committed to ministering to people’s physical, material, mental and emotional requirements as well as their spiritual needs following the example of the Saviour Jesus Christ. SCSD undertakes projects of Child Care, Health, Education and Community Development.

Child Care: Shalom Cathedral is surrounded by a number of small colonies/dwellings of migrant workers who came to Hyderbad city seeking employment opportunities. Most of them do not have basic housing. They live in temporary huts or in tents. Their children do not have access to education apart from not having food and shelter. "And wherever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to your he shall not loose his reward". (Matthew 10:42)

Health Centre: Medical care has become so expensive and not in the reach of common man. We would like to have a Health Centre to take care of Children, Expectant and Nursing mothers and provide facilities for minor ailments. We need a Gynaecologist and a Paediatrician to help. We would like to have a Health Centre close to Shalom Cathedral so that people from the neighbourhood and surrounding villages can come for basic health care.

Housing & Sanitation: Many people in our area do not have basic housing and toilet facility. They live in thatched huts and deficate in the open. This is so humiliating. We have a desire to provide simple housing and toilet facilities. Wherever family-toilets can not be provided, toilets could be built in a common place so that the community can make use of them.

Income-Generation Activities: There is a problem of unemployment. We would like to organise skill training and provide tools relevant to the trade so that they can work and earn a living. For example-a young man trained in carpentry work will be given tools to work as a carpenter and a young woman trained to become a tailor will be given a sewing machine to earn a living.

“…If you give yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness…”-Isaiah 58:10
